 Naming my business Valhalla Interiors is a nod to my Icelandic  Scandinavian heritage. In Old Norse, Vikings were given courage in battle by their belief in the glorious afterlife that is Valhalla. "Coming home" to the great hall presided over by the god Odin was the ultimate Viking goal.

Interior design has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. My husband Tristan, a builder and the other half of the Valhalla team, Valhalla Homes, and I designed & constructed our 2nd home 10 years ago & this is where my true design journey began. From the floor plan to the colour pallete, materials, fixtures and fittings selections, I was able to bring my own vision to life whilst sticking to our budget and completion time frame. I was constantly being told I should go into interior design. After consulting & decorating for family, friends, friends of friends & assisting Tristan with new builds & renovations with no qualification I decided to pursue my passion and complete a Higher National Diploma of Interior Design . Now here I am working in an industry I've always had a true talent for! My ultimate goal is to help people create a space that is attractive, practical, functional and safe  taking into account how different colours, textures, furniture, lighting, and space work together to meet occupants' needs.
